Deeply, a leading AI-powered sound analysis company, has been selected as an innovative product by the Public Procurement Service (PPS) of South Korea, recognizing both its technological excellence and public value. The PPS Innovative Product Designation program aims to introduce cutting-edge technologies into the public sector, enhancing public services and contributing to national problem-solving. This selection reaffirms Deeply’s commitment to technological advancement and social impact.

The designated product, Deeply’s AI-driven unmanned surveillance solution, Listen AI, is built on the world’s largest non-verbal sound dataset, totaling 13.9TB. It specializes in detecting emergency sounds such as screams, loud shouts, and cries for help in real time, addressing critical public safety concerns. Unlike traditional camera-based surveillance systems, Listen AI provides an added layer of security while maintaining privacy, making it suitable for sensitive locations such as restrooms and dressing rooms. The technology has already been deployed in key public and industrial sectors, including Incheon Transit Corporation, the Government Complex in Sejong, Korail, and the South Korean Army, proving its effectiveness in enhancing public safety.

The PPS selection process involves rigorous evaluations of technological innovation, public benefit, product maturity, and applicability. Deeply, through seven years of intensive research and development, has successfully commercialized sound AI technology and implemented a field-data-driven learning system to improve accuracy and reliability. This recognition validates the crucial role of real-time emergency sound detection technology in ensuring public safety.

As a designated innovative product, Listen AI is now eligible for up to six years of exclusive contracts within the public procurement market, along with pilot purchases and demonstration testing support of up to 300 million KRW. With this selection, Deeply is set to strengthen its position in the public procurement sector while expanding opportunities in smart cities, smart factories, and other emerging fields.

Deeply CEO Suji Lee commented, “Being selected as an innovative product by the PPS is a testament to both our technological expertise and our commitment to public value. We will continue driving innovation in public safety and industrial applications while expanding our presence in the global market.”

This recognition marks a turning point for Deeply, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted company both domestically and internationally. With its advanced sound AI technology, Deeply aims to address pressing public issues and contribute to strengthening national competitiveness.
